The Birth Of The Stone!

It’s surreal to sit here and write these words—The Oracle Stone is a finished novel. Not just a concept in my head, not scribbles on old notebooks or forgotten files on a computer. It’s real, and it’s in the hands of readers. But like every story, this one has a story of its own.

The First Spark

The roots of The Oracle Stone stretch all the way back to 1996. I was just a kid in Detroit with a pencil and a wild imagination. I wasn’t thinking about publishing or building a fantasy saga—just drawing maps, inventing characters, and dreaming of magical worlds where heroes rose up against impossible odds. That little spark stayed with me for decades, flickering quietly through everything I did.

A Life of Chapters

Before I became an author, I lived a lot of lives. I served in the U.S. Army. I made music as Big Fee, producing hip-hop and writing lyrics that told my truth. I worked in fitness, ran marathons, and faced challenges that tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally. But no matter where life took me, that story—the one I started building as a boy—never let go.

In 2020, after releasing my final album and stepping away from music, I found myself returning to those old ideas. This time, not as a hobby. This time, I was ready to build a world, tell a story, and honor that younger version of me who believed anything was possible.

From Sketches to Saga

The Oracle Stone wasn’t just a single idea—it became a seven-book saga. I built nations, magic systems, histories, and cultures. I poured my soul into it. Every character carries pieces of me and the people I’ve loved, lost, or learned from. William Carelock, the reluctant knight with Elven blood, struggles with guilt and legacy the same way many of us do. Altanie, brave and fierce, is the kind of protector I wish more people had growing up. And Matrum? That clever old mage carries the weight of wisdom and sacrifice.

This book became a mirror of the values I hold close: courage, redemption, unity, and the belief that even in a broken world, we can still choose to fight for what's right.

Why Now?

I chose now because the world feels like it needs stories again—real stories, with heart and grit and hope. I’m self-publishing The Oracle Stone because I believe in it. I’ve worked with a fantastic editor, Warren Layberry, who helped sharpen the blade of this story into something I can be proud of. And I’m sharing it with all of you because this dream isn’t just mine anymore. It’s yours too—especially if you’ve ever believed that one person can change everything.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. Book two is written. Book five is done. The saga is alive. And now that The Oracle Stone is out there in the world, I hope it finds its way into your hands—and your heart.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Keep believing in magic. Keep fighting for hope.

And remember, the greatest power often lies within those who never wanted it.

—William T.D. Feeley
